Today is Easter and We're Also Mid-Passover for 2026

Today is Easter for 2026. The date always is changing due to how every year the lunar calendar impacts it--yes, the Moon affects Easter, funnily enough (gotta love those pagan roots in Christianity). We are also in the middle of Passover. Basically, it has been a busy past week for anyone Christian or Jewish! I hope everyone has a good holiday if they observe either!

Enjoy the Various Holidays!

Today, multiple holidays occur that are both official and relatively unofficial. It is Easter, we are in the midst of Passover, it is 4/20, and today is National Cold Brew Day! That is a lot of events that overlap, without a doubt. Between Jesus returning from the dead, the Hebrews escaping enslavement, a lot of cannabis enjoyment, and deliciously cold coffee, there is something for everyone to like about today--and safely engage in, be it prayer, weed, or coffee. Have a good one, ya'll.

Happy Easter and Passover

Today we have both Easter and the midpoint of Passover. Should you celebrate one, both, or neither of the holidays that's perfectly fine--as long you celebrate/don't celebrate them while still practicing social distancing. I am enraged to hear of churches (no synagogues seem to be doing this) where they'll still have big ol' services today thanks to insisting they are exempt from health and safety rules designed to slow the spread of COVID-19. It is different, but stay home, and stay safe. God/Jesus/etc. will understand.

As of today, April 21st, 2019, we are in the midst of Passover and today is Easter as well. If you celebrate both, either, or neither, I hope you have a great weekend. Whatever the case, be sure to slather your doorway in lamb's blood if you're the firstborn and also be on the lookout for zombie Jesus.
