I've known Wayne Judge a number of years now. He was involved in organizing one of the first comic shows I ever set up and sold comics at before even my first son, Clarkson, was born! He's a great guy and has been facing some extremely difficult times. Complications from a brown spider recluse bite, combined with other medical conditions, led to a significant portion of Wayne's right foot being amputated. Between hospital stays, medical bills, and how this renders Wayne unable to work at his job helping special needs children for the Granite City School District, he could use some assistance. A GoFundMe has been launched for Wayne to help with expenses (medical, rent, utilities, and so forth) as he works on getting approved for disability and other assistance programs. Also, there will be a Comic Book Yardsale/Fundraiser on October 5th with vendors there contributing a chunk of their proceeds to help Wayne. Here is the flyer:
I encourage anyone who is able to contribute to the GoFundMe and/or can attend the Comic Book Yardsale on October 5th to do so. Wayne is a great person, and he's in my thoughts during this difficult time he is going through.
